The Pension Maier!

The family-run and typical Tyrolean bed and breakfast Pension Maier in Sölden is situated in the very sunny and quiet district Oberwindau, yet absolutely central and easily reachable by car.
The valley station of the Gaislachkogl mountain gondola is only 200 metres away, even the village centre of Sölden can be reached within a few walking minutes.

An hourly transport capacity of 3.600 persons makes the Gaislachkogl mountain gondola to one of the most powerful feeder mountain gondolas worldwide. It takes you in just a few minutes up to the middle station at an altitude of 2.174 metres, thus directly into the skiing area.
From there you can reach the Giggijoch along blue slopes on your skis or board in about 10 minutes, just as the connection to the glacier (Golden Gate). The blue valley runs with the numbers 8 and 10 as well as the red 7b slope end again at the valley station of the Gaislachkogl gondola, so only about 200 metres away from our house.

There are plenty of free parking spaces available directly at our house. They are located on the side of the street or in the protected courtyard (individual wishes will be considered).

Many infrastructural facilities like restaurants, bars, shops, ski rental, ski school, flootlit ice rink and others are in close proximity. That's why most of our guests don't even need a car during their holiday. The public cross-country ski trail runs past our house, the flootlit winter hiking path invites to an evening walk along the Ötztaler river towards the village centre.

Our rooms are friendly furnished and constantly renewed and modernized. They are equipped with flat TV, safe, hairdryer and a seating area. You can choose your room either with shower or bathtub/toilet as well as with or without balcony (please request individually).

We have renovated our breakfast room in 2018 and adjusted the Tyrolean buffet to the needs of our guests. The new coffee machine with coffee bean grinder and perfect milk froth has become our guests' favourite.

In our basement is the ski room with a ski boot dryer. You're welcome to hang up wet clothing in our boiler room.

After an eventful day we recommend to relax in our sauna and steam bath (included in the price). Also our restroom with flat TV and wood-fired Tyrolean tiled stove is very popular with our guests.

Free WIFI is available in the entire house.

Please note that pets are not allowed in our guesthouse (unfortunately neither small nor very kind pets).
